How to Install RAM in ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 (2024 GA403)

Mandatory Safety Protocol:

Always disconnect the internal laptop battery cable immediately after removing the bottom panel. Never touch RAM slots or internal motherboard components with the battery energized.

1

1. Prior to disassembly, clone your original SSD to the new SSD using an external USB NVMe enclosure and software like Macrium Reflect or Clonezilla.

2

2. Power off laptop. Carefully peel up the 3 small rubber screw covers along the rear hinge.

3

3. Remove all 11 Torx T5 screws from the bottom chassis.

4

4. Using a guitar pick spudger, gently separate the CNC unibody edges.

5

5. Lift off the baseplate. Immediately slide back the metal locking bracket and disconnect the battery connector.

6

6. Unscrew the single M.2 2280 screw with a PH00 screwdriver. Remove old SSD.

7

7. Insert your cloned new single-sided M.2 NVMe SSD at 30 degrees, press down, and replace the retaining screw.

8

8. Reconnect battery, replace bottom plate, re-tighten the 11 Torx screws, and replace rubber caps.
